The B-ham show was a dream come true! This was my first concert I've ever attended. I'm so proud it was Shania I finally got to see! I'm gonna tell my story and sorry if I bore anyone. My seats were not the very best they had to offer and it did kind of aggravate me about the price differences in one row...but it was worth every penny! I loved the show so much and I'd pay it all over again plus more probably. Let me explain the seat thing real fast. I was in Upper Level while the row of people right behind me was Upper Deck I believe. Just the last two top rows are Upper Deck. There seats were only $25. to the $45. of mine. 

Well on to the show. I live in Detroit, AL. Which is about 2 hours away from B-ham. I'd waited for the day to come all week long well actually since I had tickets! I'd made my posters the night before. School seemed to take forever Friday. When it was finally over then was the time for the rushing. We wanted to leave at around 4. Well finally we were on the road. 

While trying to get parked we saw some guys selling some Shania t-shirts. We didn't ask them much they were though. We were in the Civic Center a few minutes after 7. I bought a Tour Program which is beautiful (Just needs more pictures...) and a beautiful t-shirt. I've got to show off that I went to Shania's concert! Well then we went to find our seats. We had to wait awhile before Shane came out but it was worth it. I wanted to be there in time to see all the action going on. Shane was good. I'm not gonna go on and on about him. He wasn't who I was there to see. Where I was setting you could see the side entrance behind the curtain. Well it wasn't really hid that well it was just that there was a crack and you could see back in the back some. I looked a lot back that way hoping I would see Shania. I also was hunting for Mutt. Well finally the time came we had all been waiting for. The lights suddenly all going out and we all knew what that meant. Then I saw her. She came out. She was heading up to her yellow spotlight. "Are You Ready America?" Yes I know I screamed! After shining the light around the audience she then went into Rock This Country. I'm not really sure about the order of the songs. I do know she performed 18 songs. I sung right along the whole night. I don't want to spoil the list of songs for anyone going to one of the upcoming concerts because I personally didn't want to know. That way there will be anticipation. I will say I was THRILLED she did When. I remember people saying she had stopped performing it on the last part of the tour. Well she put it back in. She gets the audience so into her shows. I don't know how loud audiences usually are but it appeared to me that we we're quite a loud audience. After one song she headed straight back stage. I thought she was going to change but that wasn't it. She came out like an Egyptian Queen being carried around by four guys on this little stand thing. She went all the way around the floor. There is no telling how many autographs she signed tonight. She is just so amazing. She signed three girls pants and hands. One little girl was holding up a sign that said Can I sing with you? She let her sing. The girl wanted to sing Any Man Of Mine. Shania had just sung it but still... she let her sing it. Her first outfit was leopard outfit and the only other outfit she wore was a VERY sparkling Pink outfit. It was beautiful. She thanked us the fans tonight too. It was so nice. One little mistake or was it a planned one.. Not sure she got a smile out of it. The piano player didn't start up on You're Still The One. So she just stopped it and started it completely over. Well I hope I'm not rambling but I know I am so I need to stop. It was a wonderful show! The only thing that could have made it better was if I'd got to meet Shania or went back stage. I think I've made a career decision to. I want to be a member of Shania's band! I'm serious! Anyone know of any way to help me get on? It was a night I'll remember forever!!! Shania Rocks!!!!!!!!!

Hey!! I just got back from B'ham today!!! What a show!!! There's 
several changes, including the the song-set, but I won't go into 
details for those who might be attending one soon. Anyway, she 
was just incredible! (No suprises there, haha) 

The arena was packed.... We left friday morning, and before we 
got in the interstate, (about 30 minutes from home) we pulld 
into the Hardees drive-through for breakfast. Guess who's tour 
bus we saw cross the by-pass? It HAD to be hers! My dad said 
that the route it was taking was actually out of the way, from 
B'ham. But who knows, they might have been taking a detour for 
some reason. It was only around 8am, so they would have still 
had plenty of time to make it. Anyway, the bus was dark purple 
w/ that same turquoise blue & dark pink colors on the side. I've 
seen pics of the bus, & at my second concert, I was able to 
stand right behind it & take pictures. Behind her bus on the I- 
state was a green bus, which I also recognized from previous 
shows; and that one was followed by a white bus w/ green & some 
colors in the side. It could have been another one of the band's 
bus, or maybe even Shane Minors'. ........ My brother & I got to 
the arena about an hour before showtime. We had much better 
seats than I thought. We were on the side of the stage, but not 
too far over. We could see the back entrance behind the stage & 
a side entrance. I saw almost all of the band members before 
Shane performed. Brent, Randall, Hardy, & J.D. all came out to 
the front of stage several times. J.D. (who's from Huntsville, 
AL.) had his wife & children there. he had his son with him 
backstage & brought him out to his wife. They were sitting in 
the front. BTW, Shania brought Matthew (J.D.'s son) up onsateg & 
took a picture with him. She said that Matthew had e-mailed her 
earlier, & how right now, she spends more time with his dad than 
he gets to. 

Anyway, Shane started the show, of course, & I really loved him. 
he's just great. He has definitely earned his nickname "Sh-A- 
nia." (long 'A'.) 

Shania started off wearing a leopard -print outfit. (bell-bottom 
pants w/ a short-sleeved turtle-neck.) Her second outfit was the 
same pink outfit that she wore for the new CBS special. Hot pink 
pants & shirt. My goodness, you could have seen the sparkles a 
mile away! The band also changed into hot pink shirts. 
Oh my goodness, I must not forget Mutt! I KNOW it was him. Right 
after Shane performed a lot of crew members were fixing Shania's 
stage & moving things around, ect. Well, I was watching & i saw 
this man who looked just like Mutt! He looked tall & thin, & had 
"shaggy" bloned hair. It was short, but 'lanky' I guess you'd 
say; real thick, like all of the pics we;ve seen. About 3 or 4 
times, I got a good close-up of his face. (w/ binoculars) 
He was moving around stuff & appeared to be checking the 
equipment. I'm telling ya, if it wasn't him, then Mutt Lange has 
a twin working for his wife! That was really cool. He was 
wearing dark green pants & a long-sleeved, black t-shirt. 

Right before YSTO, she took time out to thank all of the fans 
for our support the past few years, & said that her success 
would not have been possible without us. She also thanked us for 
making YSTO the most successful song of her career so far. Of 
course, she brought up a lot of kids. All girls except for
J.D.'s son. I bet she got "writer's cramp" after all of those 
autographs. people kept asking for them & holding things out & 
she couldn't say no! She signed a bunch while singing. Most of 
the time, she was litterally doing about 4 things different 
things a a time! She started at 9pm & performed until right 
befor 11pm. The house was packed & loud! This second time here 
in almost exactly a year. 

Towards the end she said that it would be about another year & a 
half before she toured again & how much she has enjoyed it. 

Well, she was just wonderful!!! I can't wait for another one!! 

I'll probably think of somrthing else later!!
