Some comments about the Hartford show from U.S. Fan Club members who attended.

God, the woman is beautiful. And what a body. 3 outfits. First was a leopardskin pajama type outfit. No bare midriff. The second was a new one. A black crop top (killer abs on display), and black pants (looked like they had been sprayed on). Green stripes around her bustline, and waistline. Band has taken to dressing to match.
They changed to green shirts, then silver. Last outfit: silver from the special. Flesh-colored mesh stockings; legs are just fine. Unbelieveable silver boots! Hair in a ponytail, with a long extension added. She looked killer.
Some things I missed. Didn't do much with the spotlight. She's had fun with that before. Didn't have the "yeah" competition with the crowd. No fiery drum trick. Streamlined show. This was their 171st, and was a trifle ragged. Shania, not lip synching, blew the lyrics to Boots & TDIMM. She was upset with herself. Hit herself in the head and said "I don't believe it!". Brent's electrical pack came apart, and she had to do some fan interaction while they put him back together. ("I should just do a talk show and polaroids!"). Highlights: "When" and IWLYL, beautifully done. YSTO, also great. As she sat on the stool, she wished us a Happy Thanksgiving and noted how much she had to be thankful for. Thanked us all for our support. She absolutely rocked the house with MIFLAW. (Told all the guys to sing along and get in touch with their feminine side!). FTMO was done in silver and differently from before. Started on stage, but, when Brent started the guitar solo, she moved off the stage to the "T" and finished it in the midst of the crowd. Hit an absolute killer note, that brought cheers from the crowd. Every show I've seen, she's nailed it to the wall. This time around, the band moved around. Sometimes, they were on the "T" and she wasn't. JD Blair's drum kit was on a turntable, and he revolved a bit. She didn't have anybody sing with her, but she brought up three fans who have followed her to 10 concerts and counting. Their sign said they were "The Twain Gang". She said that is what she and her siblings call themselves. My arms weren't long enough to get a high five, but I put my Country Weekly and a sharpie on the stage, and when she came by, she knelt down and signed it. Got to touch her arm then. Cheap thrills! Lots of pyrotechnics, and at the end, two large cannons shot confetti over everyone. The air was thick with it. It was everywhere. All in all, a wonderful experience. She's awesome.

Saw Shania for the first time in Hartford on 11/27. Overrall, the show went off great... good acoustics, good crowd, and she didn't miss a note. It ran about 1:45 from her first number to the last. Shania and her lead guitarist had some minor problems with electronics throughout. Early on, I could tell that her hair was getting caught in the cordless microphone apparatus attached to her back. She kept reaching behind her back to pull her hair up and over, and it distracted her to the point of forgetting a few lyrics. Fortunately, she seems to have an incredible capacity to laugh at herself because she just shouted out, "I can't believe I forgot the words!" That happened twice, once during "That Don't Impress Me Much" and again during "Any man of Mine".
I was amazed by her capacity to sing songs while signing autographs... never missing a note or a beat. I can't wait to see her again next time around. I find I'm suffering from PSS (Post Shania Syndrome), and playing her three albums over and over again barely fills the void. Fortunately I have her calendar to get me through the year...
The band sounded great and looked great. Everyone seemed to have a good time onstage, and Shania spent ample time interacting with the audience and taking pictures with fans. Her genuineness and "down-to-earthness" only served to confirm what I have always felt about her, namely, "She's on the short list of people I'd take a bullet for, and the long list of people I pray for".
If you want to know any particular details about the show, please feel free to ask.
