May 24th,1999 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The night started at
7:30pm with Leahy, and they were awesome as usual! They performed about
a 1/2 hour and Shania entered the stage at about 8:30pm or so. She began
by saying, "Are You Ready Minneapolis!!!" and then again she said, "I Said
Are You Ready Minneapolis!!!" Then the crowd went wild as she entered the
stage while singing "Man I Feel Like A Woman" Right from the start of the
show I knew that it was going to be a GREAT night. Some of her songs that
she sang were, "Any Man of Mine", "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under",
"God Bless The Child", which the Hopkins Choir sang with her, "If You're
Not In It For Love", "No One Needs To Know Right Now", "From This Moment
On", "That Don't Impress Me Much", "Honey I'm Home", and "Rock This Country".
There were also some others, that I am having difficulty in remembering.
The Target Center was filled, and the crowd stood most of the night. Then
towards the end of the show Shania went through the crowd, and let everyone
get a closer look at her. She invited alot of people on the stage to sing
with her and some just to talk to. Although she only sang for 1 1/2 hours,
about a 1/2 shorter than last year, the show was still great and the $50.00
I paid for the ticket was money well spent!!! I just hope she comes to
Minneapolis again next year!!! And if she ever comes to a city near you,
be SURE TO GO !!! Thanks alot Shania for the GREAT Performance!!!
The sound system at the Target Center left alot to be desired. At
times it completely drowned out Shania's voice, but it was still an awesome
concert!
