Some comments from U.S. Fan Club members who attended the Richmond show. Richmond was wonderful, I met up with the Twain Gang by chance by the box office before the show, we hung out there for 2 hours. They had found out by previous experience that not long before a show, if there are house seats available they will put them up for sale. Anyway, to make a long story short I was able to get a seat in row B, inside the T. The guys were in row C, right back to the T. It was so exciting to be so close. I had learnt that it was a good idea to make a sign, so I made up a couple, one read, "Shania, Can I have a photo, I am from England" and the other "Merry Christmas & Happy 2000", both were on fluorescent paper. Shania did see them both and made a comment that there was someone here from England and talked directly to me regarding the success of TDIMM over there and being the first Canadian to have done so well. She also saw my Christmas sign which I put up near the end of the show, and she laughed and smiled and waved directly at me. It was so cool. The show run down was the same as all the others, she seemed to have alot of energy and was having fun, at one point when setting up for one of here guitar songs, nearly tripped over the raised part of the stage and dropped the mic. She wore the Leopard outfit, followed by the Silver then the pink, all very beautiful. I was able to take 3 rolls of film, I did feel a little embarrassed at times, coz she looked my way and didn't look too impressed. Oh, well. I was able to get a photo signed, thanks to the lady behind me, who was against the stage, Shania paid the Twain Gang alot of attention and was impressed that they would be going to Florida too. Boy, I wish I were going as well. Then at the end of the show, Allison thew me one of her drum sticks from I'm out of Here finally. I had such a wonderful night, I floated home, the 2 hour drive home went very fast, I did not get to high five Shania but I got the next best thing. Ann Joiner
Just wanted to let you know that the concert in Richmond was spectacular !!! Two solid hours of great entertainment. The show gets better every time I see it. Got a lot of pics....had great seats unfortunately the quality of my camera was not up to the quality of the show. I'll attach a couple of the better ones. If you think they're good enough to post feel free.Once again her show transcended age and musical genre lines. My 11 year old daughter enjoyed the show even more than I did. She even got to shake Shania's hand during the show. Made her whole night. She talked about it for the whole two hour drive home. According to her Shania has "pretty eyes and smells like a flower". Anyway it isn't much of a revue...but then what can you say about a performance that leaves you breathless. Hope you can use the pictures. The resolution tends to get a little better if they are scaled down. Bruce
Just back from Richmond---this was by far the best Shania concert that I have seen---she was out for close to 2 hours and what made it different for me was that I finally got two seats between the catwalk and the front of the stage---I didn't have any of the problems I had at mci----I shot over 80 pictures and security never said a word---I would have shot more but I ran out of film---I'm just hoping they will develop ---- I took everyones advice and switched to 800 asa film---I'll let you know how they come out---and while I was taking pictures---my wife was getting our cd covers autographed by Shania since the back of our chairs actually rest against the catwalk so when Shania comes out on the catwalk---you have to turn yourself around to see her---she was so close at times I had trouble taking pictures of her---so this was a night that my wife and I will remember for years.
